The text you anonymize never leaves your browser. It is processed on your device only; it is not sent to us, to Google or to anyone else, and no analytics or log ever contains it.
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). To deliver the page, Cloudflare processes your IP address and the technical data of your request. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and processes the data on our behalf under its data processing addendum. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in delivering the site securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
If you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited,
Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to count visits to this page: which pages are viewed, where
visits come from and on what kind of device, and which of the tool's buttons are used (for example "copy" with the
chosen mode and locale pack; never your text, the findings or the mapping). Your browser then loads a script from Google, and Google sets the
cookies _ga and _ga_…, which recognize your browser across visits. Google processes
your IP address, which Google Analytics 4 does not store, and data about your browser, device and the pages
viewed. Without "Accept", the page loads nothing from Google and sets no cookie.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) TKG 2021). Google may also process the data in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Google processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Data about individual visits is deleted in Google Analytics after 14 months; the cookies expire two years after your last visit unless you delete them earlier.
Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage (entry text-anonymizer-analytics-consent) so you
are not asked on every page; it is not sent to us. You can withdraw your consent at any time with "Cookie
settings" at the bottom of the page: "Decline" deletes the Google Analytics cookies and stops loading the
script.
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object, and to withdraw a consent with effect for the future. You can lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at).
